A promise. A prophecy. And a lost, little stranger.

Moment to Midnight is a small story game made in a week, inspired by Ludum Dare 45, with a lot of optional dialogue and a couple secrets.

Average playtime: 15-20 minutes.

The game's soundtrack is now available on Bandcamp!

NOTE: Due to some??? Decisions by Apple??? Moment to Midnight will not run on OSX Catalina. We (and many other devs) are looking into a solution to this.

I enjoyed this short and simple experience. I listened to the music for 2 years before finally playing it tonight. Thanks!

Found it by the music somehow finding its way into my recommended on yt and me getting to curious not to look for the game. Really glad i did because its some of the best 20min I spent at my pc, loved every bit of its characters music art and small story :D

its insane how well made this game is, the character designs and animations are so cute, the dialogue is entertaining and funny, the story is short but engaging. 10/10 would break another vase.

That's crazy tho

Found this game completely on accident, but its so amazing and is what I look up to as I continue through college to hopefully one day make my own games :D

I rlly loved this game, i thought it was super cute and short :3 rlly made my day <3

This was a cute, fun game! The whole world feels like something out of OneShot, and I really loved it. I wish I could know more about the lore and the world... It's so beautiful.

So short yet so beautiful

this gave me chills! it felt so nostalgic and beautiful.

Just a great little adventure. Loved every aspect of it.

Brilliant game, love all the characters and the effort put in to every aspect of the game!

This was a great little adventure. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but I can definitely recommend this just for writing and art alone. It's 15-20 minutes of your time, I can absolutely say it's worth a shot. Props to the devs!

I'm a bit late to the party, but I just played this game, and I had a good time. :) Very nice atmosphere, and interesting theme/gimmick.

One of the first actually good games I have played on Itch. I am very impressed that this game was made in a week, jeez you've got to be real devoted to your craft to do something like this in just a week. Though it's not long and really vague it really brings up a lot of questions about the story and lore of this world. This game also reminded me of OneShot, Good Job Moment to Midnight Devs.

This game reminded me of One Shot but, it was still really good. Artistically amazing and I loved the characters.

Agreed, totally reminded me of OneShot.

It is a masterpiece. Reminded me "One Shot" a little. I will be waiting for your new game

Wow this was an absolutely incredible game.  I can see how much polish went into it, so I can understand why it wasn't able to be done in time for Ludum Dare, but it is outstanding on it's own.  The music reminded me of Night in the Woods, which is one of my all time favourite games, so great work there, and the characters were all quite interesting even with such a short time to interact with them all.  Amazing work!

Thank you for sharing this!  The visuals and soundtrack are both inspirational in informing my own creative works.

A wonderful game! I like it!

Hey! I wrote a short little profile of your game on my website—I really enjoyed it. I loved the chill vibe and incredible music.

I'm not a dire hard fan of story telling games but I had a lot of fun with this one and the ending is IN-credible!

Are you kidding me? Did you fail to post this on LDjam's site? That's a 1st place challenger! :'(
Brilliant work. Continue this way pals. Felt the ChronoTrigger, Terranigma, etc vibes in the soundtrack and story.
The little elements of puzzle were intelligent and elegant.

We didn't put in on the LD page because submissions close 1 hour after it ends and we were four days late lol

Haha, well, better have a great game like that four days late than a semi-functionnal one on time. You guys are talented, do have already published a commercial game or do you plan to some time soon?

This is our first time working together for a game, actually! DaisyOwl and I are working on different titles rn, which are on display on both of our twitter accounts.

Very short and sweet! The character designs are very polished. Overall, I had a fun 17 minutes in an interesting village.
